Opti-Oat Assessment Upload

Plot Summary Parser:

Plot summary parser is primarily developed to extract data from plot summary tab of Opti-Oat workbook that is uploaded through Trials App data upload feature.

Pic 1

Pic 1: Steps 1 to 4 as shown in in the picture indicates the process to be followed for uploading plot summary data.

The system accepts only excel file in which data is presented in a particular format that is described here. The tab with name ‘plot summary’ is read for this information.

Data is Row 1 is ignored.

Assessment Dates Block

Next block of rows ( starting from row 2 ) provides assessment dates and are tied to the variety name, one row per variety. The number of rows in this block thus should be the same as the unique varieties in ‘Variety’ column in next block ( data block ). Data here should start from column 4 where column number 4 contains the term ‘Date’ and column 5 has the name of the variety pertaining to the dates in following columns in that row. This dates correspond to the assessment date for the assessment name stated in the respective column in header of the data block.

NOTE : If assessment dates are not properly present in the required format, assessment is not loaded.

Example:

The 1st row is the title and assessment names and data follows from next row.

The starting 9 columns are meta information and are mandatory.

  • trial_code
  • trial_site
  • user_plot_name
  • assessed_by
  • sample_number
  • sample_date
  • growth_stage
  • commodity
  • assessment_value

The assessment names should follow the same convention as in ‘Plot Summary’ Parser except that growth stage is taken from 8th column ‘Growth Stage’ itself here. So even if you provide it in the assessment name, that is not considered.
